Past Incarnation Reading for Mevinah
For your session we chose to focus in-depth on three past incarnations.
*14th Century Arabia*
You are in a caravan in Arabia in the 1300s. You look like you are merchants or traders. You are with a boy. You have three camels with you. The boy is riding on one of them.
You have your face covered because the sand is blowing. You reach up and you shake the boy's leg and say "Jaffee stay awake my son." The boy stirs awake.
You say "You don't want the cloth to slip while you are asleep and your lungs fill with sand." You need the cloth on your face to protect you. The boy says "How much further Father?"
You are telling him that you are going to arrive at the City of Kirkuk by nightfall. You arrive at this small city. Guards are opening up the gates and you are going inside.
You are in a caravan of about thirteen people. You are at the stables. You are talking to your son Jaffee and checking your provisions.
Another man from the caravan walks up to you and says "Alideen will you be joining us? I hear there is a good place to eat right down the road here."
You reply to him "We will be there shortly Hassan. Go ahead of us and get us a table." Jaffee says "Hassan was such a mighty warrior for the Khan." You say "Be weary my son of any man who would slay his own people for a foreign king."
You and your son are walking down the road. You are saying to Jaffee "Later on tonight after dinner I will show you the real reason why we are traveling the Capital of the Khan. We are not just going for spices. We are going for something else. Something that can make our fortunes."
Jaffee says "What is it father? I want to know more." You put your hands on his shoulders and say "Later. Later my son."
You and Jaffee are sitting at the table with Hassan and two other men. You are eating. Hassan and the other men are drinking. Hassan looks over at you and says "Have a drink. It has been a long road. I know your throat is thirsty."
You look at Hassan and say "I cannot. Allah forbids it." Hassan takes a drink and says "Piss on Allah. What has he really ever done for man that man cannot do for himself?"
Then he drinks the drink that he got for you and says "Well more for me then. I am going to enjoy this night." Then Hassan guzzles the drink down and then blows out his alcohol breath on you. You keep a straight face and don't say anything.
Hassan says "Well gentlemen... come and join me for another round. We can see what else this establishment has to offer." Then he looks over at some prostitutes and says "Shall we see?"
Hassan looks at you and says "I would ask you to join me in this, but I would be afraid that you would tell me that Allah has taken your cock too."
Jaffee gets up from the table. He is around 12 or 13 years old. He gets ready to lunge at Hassan. You grab your son's arm. Hassan looks at Jaffee and says "Continue to fight your father's battles son. At least one of you is brave." Then Hassan walks off...
Jaffee turns to you and says "Father you are just going to let him get away with those harsh words." You reply "Understand my son. Hassan is a man looking for death. For when that death comes where will he go? For he does not live in the righteous light of Allah." Your son agrees and then sits back down.
You say "Let me show you something son while Allah is smiling upon us." You reach into your satchel and you pull out something wrapped in a white cloth. You open the cloth and there is a huge ruby inside.
Jaffee's eyes light up. "Father where did you get that ?" You reply "Shhh! Jaffee. You must not let everyone know. This is why we travel to the Capital of the Khan. And this will be my last travel upon the road as a merchant. I will be able to afford to send you to the finest schools. You can pursue your dream of building."
Jaffee says "It has always been my dream." You say "Jaffee by the Grace of Allah that dream you shall live." Hassan is taking a drink while watching you from across the tavern.
The next morning you and your son are gathering up your camels. You are making ready to leave. Hassan comes walking up to you. He says "Alideen a word for a moment if I may..." You reply "I don't really have much time so you will have to make it brief."
Hassan begins to speak "First I must apologize for my words. I have seen so much bloodshed and dying in this life. I have done so much killing. I have fallen from God's Grace. I see that Allah has always been with you. I want to accompany you to the Kah's Capital. I may find work there. My men are eager to find work there in the Kah's Capital. Along the way maybe you could help me learn to ask Allah for forgiveness."
This emotionally touches you. You say back to him "Then let Allah bless us all on this journey." You are journeying on your way to the Capital of the Khan. You, Jaffee, Hassan, and two other men. You are traveling day to night, then night to day, it goes onward.
You are talking to Hassan and you are teaching him how to pray towards Mecca. You are talking to him about the Quran and the ways of Allah. Hassan is showing interest in what you are saying. He is moved by it.
You are coming upon this ridge and you look at a vast valley. You and Hassan are standing there. You say "The Silk Road cuts across this valley. In about five more days we should be in the Kahn's Capital."
Hassan replies "When we arrive I hear that there are other fellow Muslims there. I would like to continue my studies." You put your hand on Hassan's shoulder and say "We shall continue them together."
You are camping down for the night. You are all getting ready for sleep. You and Jaffee are looking up at the stars. You point at one of the stars and say "There she is. That is where your mother is. Every night she shines down upon you and watches you from heaven while you sleep."
You wake up later that night. You really have to pee. You are looking around you don't see Jaffee. You figure that maybe Jaffee is doing the same thing. You walk off a little bit in the distance. You relieve yourself.
All the sudden you have a knife to your throat. A man whispers in your ear "Easy... or I will cut them both off." You put your hands up. The man leads you back to where the camp is. You see the other man holding Jaffee with a knife at his throat. You see Hassan tearing through all of your belongings. He is saying "Where is it Alideen?"
You say "I have no idea what you are talking about." Hassan replies "The gem! Where is the damn gem?" You say again "I don't know what you are talking about." Hassan says back to you "So this is the way it is going to be?" He pulls Jaffee over to him. He puts a knife towards him...
You react a little bit, but the man still has you. Hassan says to you "Do you believe your wife is in heaven? Do you think she wants to have her son there with her?" You start to panic and you say "No, no." Then you reach inside your shirt and you pull out the little white cloth with the ruby in it.
Hassan hands Jaffee back to the other man. He comes up and snatches the gem out of your hands. He opens up the cloth and he looks at it and his eyes get big. He says "Tie them up gentlemen."
The two men are tying you and Jaffee up. They tied your hands behind your backs and they tied up your feet. All three men are sitting down around a fire.
Hassan is holding the gem in his hands. They are all talking about it. One of the men says "How much are we going to get for this?" Hassan says "Enough for each of us to buy a villa."
Another man says "What about those two?" Hassan replied "We will sell them as slaves." The man replies "We should just kill them now. If we take them to the Kahn's Capital they can claim that we robbed them."
Hassan laughs and says "Not after tomorrow they won't. When we guild them both and take out their tongues. They will make fine eunuchs for the Kahn's temples." The men are chuckling and laughing about it.
It is a little later on. You are working on getting your hands free. You stop when you see Hassan awake from his sleep. He pulls out a knife. He looks over at you, but you quickly close your eyes and act like you are asleep.
You see Hassan slowly get up with the knife. He walks over to one of the men sleeping. He puts his hand over that man's mouth and cuts his throat. Then he does the same thing to the other man.
Hassan goes through a saddle bag and pulls out a piece of fruit. He starts cutting into it with the bloody knife. He starts eating the fruit.
You are watching him a bit through your mostly closed eyes. You see the blood on Hassan's mouth. You watch him until Hassan goes back to sleep. Then you start working again on getting your hands freed.
You finally free your hands and you untie your feet. You put your hand over Jaffee's mouth and whisper to him "Jafeee... wake up." He startles awake. You say "Shhh... quiet." You start untying his hands and feet.
Once you got the ropes off you grabbed Jaffee by the forearm. You say "Come on. You must run." Jaffee says "What about the Ruby father?" Alideen says "It is not worth it."
Jaffee is struggling to go back for it. He breaks free from your grip.
He quietly runs up to Hassan. Jaffee is looking around and sees the white cloth in Hassan's hand. He reaches for it. Hassan's other hand grabs Jaffee's wrist and his hand with the gem it it punches Jaffee in the face. He fell backwards.
You yell out "Jaffee!" Hassan gets up and pulls out his knife and goes to stab your son. You tackle Hassan to the ground. You are rolling around. Hassan stabs you twice. You are still fighting and struggling.
Hassan gets on top of you. He is about to stab you to finish you off. There is a clunk and Hassan falls off of you while holding the back of his head. Hassan gets hit by Jaffee again with a water gourd. It breaks the second time Jaffee hits him.
This startles Hassan for a moment, but then he gets back up on his feet. He starts going towards Jaffee.
You come up to Hassan from behind and put him in a choke hold. You both fall to the ground but you continue the hold and choke him. You do this with all your strength until you hear bones snap. You crushed his windpipe and broke his neck.
You push Hassan off you and call out for Jaffee. He says "Father let me help you." He tries to lift you but he cannot. You are in too much pain.
You say "There is nothing you can do for me. I go to Allah now... Take all that is here. Take the ruby. Go to the Kahn's Capital. Just follow the Silk Road. Make a new life there. Always know that I will be in heaven with your mother. Watching over you." Then you die.
*1876 Paris France*
You are in the streets of Paris. You are painting a woman who is posing for you while she is holding flowers. There are a few other paintings set up. One of the ocean cliffs and another one of a maiden in a garden.
You are painting a portrait of this woman. It looks like you are almost finished. It has her sitting there with the whole background of the street. She says "How much longer François?" (Pronounced Fran-swah)
You reply back to her "Beauty like this cannot be rushed. And a beauty like you is never late." She smiles. You continue painting.
You finished and are wrapping the painting up in paper. She is telling a man "Put this on the carriage." The man is taking the painting and putting it up on the carriage for her. She begins to pay you. You put your hand on her forearm and you pull her a little closer. She says "Not here. The driver may be watching."
You whisper into her ear "Every night I dream of you. Every morning I wake and I long for you. I love only you Vanessa." You are French, but she is not.
She whispers back "And I only you. Meet me in the fish market tomorrow." Then she turns away and gets on the coach. The driver looks at you. You smile and wave.
You pick up your other painting and your supplies. You carry them down this ally between buildings. You come to a door and open it up. You walk inside. There is a desk man there. He is not French either. He sounds Austrian.
You ask him "Everything good here Albert?" The desk man replies "Everything is fine. Dull as usual Master François." You say "A good day?" Albert raises his eyebrows and says "Full of smiles." You reply "Many."
Albert asks "When are you going to take her away from here and marry her?" You tell Albert "Soon. I almost have enough money." Albert says "What about that brute of a husband?" You reply "Once we reach England I will figure that all out." Albert replies "I hope so. Good night to you Sir."
You go up to this little apartment. You walk in and a cat meows. It jumps up on a little table next to the door. You scratch your cat on the head and say "I am home Artemis. How are the children?" You set all your paint things down.
You walk over to a vanity mirror with some drawers. The bottom drawer is already a little open. You pull it all the way open and see three kittens inside. You reach down and pet each one of their heads. You say "Grandpa is home."
You pour yourself some wine. You go to your window and you are looking out across Paris. You are thinking of Vanessa.
You are down in a fish market. Vanessa is looking around. There is another female with her that looks like a servant. She is putting fish and other foods into a basket. You notice each other.
Vanessa turns to this other woman and says "Go ahead and take these on home Emily." They both giggle with each other. Emily must know that you are lovers.
Emily says to Vanessa "Be careful. Remember the marks he left on you the last time you were suspicious." Vanessa replies "I will be fine. Richard does not return for several days."
Vanessa walks over and greets you. You walk away together. You turn a corner on an ally. You are kissing each other passionately. Vanessa says "Not here. Your place. First, I am hungry." You say "Well, come to my place. I have something there for you."
You both walk off together. You are coming up the stairs. The door man Albert is there. He graciously opens the door. Albert says "Good evening my Lady." Vanessa giggles and says "Oh Albert. Always with the mannerisms."
You and Vanessa are walking up to your apartment. You open up the front door. In there you have a table set. There is a bottle of wine and a picnic basket on the middle of the table. Vanessa smiles and says "Oh François. You always make me feel like I am the only person in the world."
You are both sitting down enjoying the meal. The cat Artemis jumps up on the table. Vanessa gives Artemis a little piece of food and starts to pet her. Vanessa says "I've always wanted a cat. Richard would never allow it."
You say to her "When we go to England we will take Artemis and her three kittens Achilles, Hercules, and Athena."
Vanessa drinks some wine. She gets up from the table and she takes your hand and leads you up. You walk over to your rickety bed and you begin passionately kissing. You both fall to the bed. Skipping the love scene....
You are both laying on the bed. You are holding Vanessa. You tell her "I love you so much. My heart will always be yours. We should go tomorrow. I have enough. We go and we can start over there. I have already sent paintings to my uncle in London. He already has buyers for several more. We can make a good living there. If you could manage living with a famous artist. I have something to show you..."
You get up from the bed. You walk over a covered painting. You pull the cover off... It is a painting of Vanessa holding the cat Artemis in her arms. You say "A portrait of the two most beautiful women I know."
Vanessa chuckles and asks "Are you comparing me to a cat?" You frown a little and say "You do not like it?" Vanessa gets up and walks over to you. She kisses you and says "I love it. It will hang above the fire mantle in our new home." You kiss Vanessa on the forehead and ask "Tomorrow then?" She says "Tomorrow..."
You are packing. You are put Artemis in your wooden pet carrier. The kittens are already inside. You tell your cat "She should be here any moment Artemis." You hear a knock at the door. You are really excited and you go to answer it.
You open the door and you see Vanessa. She has blackened eyes, her face is bruised, her lip is bleeding. You are surprised. Then you see a big man step behind her and he shoves Vanessa into you.
This is Richard. He is a really big man. He walks in. You are holding Vanessa. Richard closes the front door. He is calm and collected. In his right hand he holds a pistol. He turns to you.
Richard is rubbing his forehead and chuckling. He says "Out of all the businessmen, actors, politicians, and great men that I know. You choose a filthy street painter." Then Richard looks at you. Both you and Vanessa are terrified.
Richard says "I can't think of a bigger disgrace I have ever felt in my life. A mark of shame. It must be erased..." He points the gun at both of you. You shove Vanessa over to your left. She falls over the pet carrying case. It knocks the cage open.
You hear shots... bam, bam, bam, bam... You hear six shots then you just hear clicking... Richard shot you six times. You are laying on the floor and you are dying.
You see Richard walk out the door. Vanessa comes over to you. She starts screaming "Hang on! Hold on!" Artemis comes up and starts licking your forehead.
You are fading in and out. You hear whistles and commotion of police outside. You hear shots fired. Then you pass away.
*Mid to Late 1940s Tibet*
A young Monk is walking down a dirt road. He is maybe 18 or 19 years old. He is a Buddhist Monk. These other people are walking from the other direction. They look Tibetan. Some of them are carrying old rifles. Many of the are wounded.
You are walking by them and you stop for a moment. You look at them and you say a blessing. Some of the people are coming up you and they kneel down and touch your hands. You hear a voice that says "Pingshee." You respond "Yurkima." You see another male about your age. You hug each other.
Yurkima looks up and down at you and says "Wow. A true holy man. You are true holy man." You look back and him and say "I see that you follow your family's heart. And it is a good heart. So many wounded..." Yurkima replies "Many more than that are dead."
You say "And the Chinese?" Yurkima shakes his head and says "We didn't even stand a chance." Then he lightens the mood when he says "Walk with us a little bit. You can help the wounded. I know war is not your way. The people who believe could use the help of a holy man."
You are all camping down for the night. You are walking around to different injured men. You are dressing wounds and helping them. You check on all of them. You are with some of them while they are dying.
Yurkima walks up to you. He says "Pingshee please take some water. I think you deserve it. Plus you must keep up your strength." You reply back "Where will all go now and what will you all do?"
Yurkima says "We will continue to fight. That is all that some of us have left now." You reply "I know. I heard what happened to many villages including yours and your family. It saddened me greatly." Yurkima says "And through it all you still choose not to fight. For a time I was angry at it. Now more and more I understand why."
You say back to Yurkima "I know that the Chinese are killing Monks. Many of us want to fight. It would not be the ways of balance. Not for us." Yurkima looks at you and nods his head. He says "I understand."
It is morning and the sun is rising. You are all packing up. A couple of the men are sitting next to the ones who died. You are sitting with Yurkima.
You say to him "Last night I dreamed. I was chasing a tiger and I think the tiger is you. I saw spears in the tiger. I kept chasing him. I will go with you until the end. I will be there in the end." Yurkima nods his head and says "There is no one else I would wish to be."
Ark sees Yurkima and three other men up on a ridge. Down below you on the road is a caravan of Chinese military trucks. There are soldiers in and around them.
Yurkima and these other men take their positions. One of Yurkima's men waves across the way. You see some of the other Tibetan fighters are waving to each other and they are placed all over the ridge in different positions.
Then the man makes a fist. You the hear these shots fired from different the different locations. They are shooting down at the Chinese soldiers.
The Chinese convoy stops and soldiers start getting out of the back of the trucks. Some of them are dead on the ground. The rest are taking their positions. Yurkima is shooting at them.
You are kneeling down next to Yurkima. You do not have a weapon. A Chinese officer is yelling orders at the soldiers. They a returning fire. There is a fire fight back and forth.
There is a Chinese soldier with radio equipment. He is running up to the officer that is yelling out orders. This officer is speaking through the radio. There is still a fire fight going on.
Yurkima stops to reload his rifle. One of the guys who is with you falls backwards. He is grabbing his throat and bleeding out of it. You go down to his side and begin to help him. This man dies.
You hear machine gun fire. You crouch down and put your hands over your head. There is rocks, dust, and debris flying. You hear the machine gun and the screams of the Tibetan fighters.
You hear Yurkima yelling at you "Pingshee! Run and get out of here while you can! They are coming! You must run!"
You see Yurkima stand up again to take another shot. Then you hear the machine gun fire. You see these exploding rocks where it is hitting.
You see Yurkima fall down. He is pretty badly torn up on his left side. Yurkima is yelling "Run Pingshee! Run!" Instead of leaving you run to Yurkima.
You pick him up and fireman carry him. You start running while carrying Yurkima. You hear Chinese voices shouting behind you. Then you hear gun fire and bullets whizzing past your ears. You start running faster and faster.
You feel a sharp lain in your lower left leg. You keep running anyway. You go into a little wooded area. You can still hear the Chinese shouting behind you. You trip and you fall. You hear them closing in on you. They have guns pointed in your direction.
Then you hear someone yell out in Chinese and you think you about to get shot. You hear a Chinese man yell and come through the crowd of soldiers. This is the Chinese officer.
He walks up and reaches down and helps you to your feet. He looks at your wound. Then he says something in Chinese.
A Chinese soldier comes running up. It is a medic. He is looking at your leg. Your leg is bleeding, but it was only severely grazed. He wraps up your leg and then runs off. You are standing there wondering what is going on.
Yurkima is laying on the ground. There are a few soldiers with their rifles pointed at him. He is still alive.
The Chinese officer walks up to Yurkima. Yells a few things at him in Chinese. Yurkima is shocked and afraid. He dies not saying anything back. The Chinese officer draws his pistol and shoots Yurkima in the chest and kills him.
You are startled and in shock. The Chinese officer yells out something to the soldiers. They all start walking off. The officer turns to you, puts his hands together, and then bows his head to you. Then he walks off. You are left there alone.
You are now a really old man. You look like you are in India. You are walking through a thick jungle. You are touching the leaves and feeling really tired. You have a walking stick that you are leaning on. You sit down next to the stream. You are relaxing there.
You take out a little bowl, a piece of square copper that has something on it, and some incense. You are make a little fire in this bowl. Then you put the incense into it. Then sun begins to set. You are dying and passing away. You can feel yourself doing this.
You hear a little bit of noise. It is a soft growl. You look across the stream and you see a tiger staring back at you. It starts to approach you. It gets really close to you.
You are so close face to face that you are touching. You are not afraid. The tiger looks at you and then turns and walks back into the jungle. You pass away at that point.
*Borderlands*
This Tibetan life is the one you had right before your current incarnation. Your spirit has been to the borderlands before.
Right after your life in France you went there. You were not stuck there for very long. We figuring out how you got out of the borderlands...
There is a big gap between the life in Arabia and this life in France. There is no incarnation in between them. You were stuck in the borderlands after your Arabian life that is why there is such a big gap between the two.
You found a way to get out. That is why there was not a huge gap after the French incarnation. You remembered how to get out of the borderlands.
You jumped from your Monk life into the life you are in now. Within days of this Monk incarnation dying and your current incarnation being born.

Response from Mevinah:
My goodness Aphrodite/Amy, I really don’t know how to feel. So many emotions were brought up through this. Nostalgia, melancholy, sadness, joy it’s a strange mixture. I used to be obsessed with France, I lived and studied there in this incarnation for a brief time.
I also have studied Buddhist and Daoist Philosophy, training martial arts in a small school in China when I was younger (as well as a variety of other different religious and philosophical traditions during my young life so far)
In this incarnation I have also been a relatively religious and spiritual person since around 16 when I almost died. And the experiences in my past life really kind of see a religious theme. And even before I finished the first two paragraphs I knew the Paris incarnation was not going to end well. A deep sinking feeling in my heart. It was hard to read.
The portion about the borderlands is interesting. My incarnation in Tibet lived a really long time to get up to the time of my birth. And I wonder about the Tiger. I really do not know how I managed to escape the borderlands or why I was not caught. I would love to learn more with you.
Thank you truly from my heart and soul! I need to contemplate and ruminate on these lives, see if there is wisdom or knowledge to be found to grow. And to continually learn from who I have been to become who I need to be.
